In an exploration of the sports design industry, I wanted to embark on the creation of elements typically seen in a social media campaign for an NBA team. Teams use social media to drive engagement with their fans in many ways, with entire campaigns to create visual consistency and a theme for each season. The Houston Rockets, being associated with NASA, and space, coupled with the team’s shortcomings when it came to the playoffs gave the perfect opportunity to create my theme: Go Beyond. The theme is a nod to space exploration as well as the Rockets’ desire to outperform the previous season.
