The Realm of Angels
During my last year at university I created a small collection of mixed-media model and illustrated creatures, but I wanted to find a way to gather these characters into one story. Using the process of creating animated films as a guide, I crafted image sheets of the characters I was less familiar with and used lighting studies and color illustrations to depict key scenes in the new tale. The final story tells of two different creatures that loved each other and had two daughters, Nia and Penelope. The girls are sterile because they are hybrids, but Penelope finds a way for her older sister to adopt her own child.
