Jessica Baker

For my thesis project I chose to work on the redesign of a young adult book franchise called The Raven Cycle by updating the book covers and creating accompanying merchandise for the series including bookmarks, enamel pins, stickers, and a tote bag. The books are an enjoyable read that I felt was an excellent candidate to rework, because to me the original covers didn’t fit the adventurous and magical elements in the book. The series uses mainly psychic and dream magic, and I was inspired by these darker aspects of the book to create the graphics.
