Adjectives with Dogs is a book designed for early readers, using adorable dogs to introduce young children to the world of adjectives within the English language. Being an avid dog-lover, I was inspired to create stories based on my loved ones’ furry friends and their diverse and lively personalities.
The creation of my Adjectives with Dogs book had also been an exploration in Character Design, Typography, and Narrative Art. I had begun by typing an outline of the script accompanied by general notes on the types of illustrations I would create to pair with the pages. Then, I had drawn each individual dog digitally on their own separate documents, and arranged all of these elements within the spreads. Finally, I had created my own font for this project, and used it to write out and finalize the contents of the script.
