For my thesis project I developed elements of preliminary work for an animated film I plan to continue in the future. this project was an exploration of the horror genre in animation. In the story I wanted to talk about issues like the exploration of gender, identity, and power dynamics, all in a psychological horror setting. The story talks about a woman who suddenly begins to perceive noises that are not there, begins seeing things that don’t exists and feels her own body transforming into something unknown, questioning both her sanity and her reality. The project includes a few character designs, background designs, story boards, and short animated clips that display the mood and rhythm of the story.
